Cars on display at the 2014 Corvettes at Carlisle Racer Reunion
On Aug 22-24, Corvettes at Carlisle hosted a display of C1 – C4 Corvette race cars. They came from the Miller Family collection, from noted restorer Kevin Mackay/customers and cars from the 1988 and 1989 Corvette Challenge Series.
2014 marks the 5th such celebration started in 1994 by the late Chip Miller. While past gatherings were bigger, time takes its toll. This display of cars was a tribute to the all the Corvette racing drivers honored at the past 4 racer reunions, some no longer alive or able to travel.
Thanks to the diligence of Jim Gessner, Wayne Ellwood, other contributors and enthusiasts, you can link to our archives to find out more about the ownership and history of all these Corvettes on display. Not satisfied? Take the cues and google Corvette Race Cars or click here.
