Tommy Milner leads the DXDT team at Barber Motorsports Park to another weekend sweep in the SRO World Challenge Series

Tommy Milner paired with Alec Udell won both the Saturday and Sunday 90-minute SRO WC Pro class races piloting the # 63 Z06 GT3.R Corvette.

It marks SRO’s first visit to Barber Motorsports Park, a picturesque 2.38 - mile 16-turn circuit on 880 acres of lush terrain, sprinkled with giant art sculptures and housing a world-class motorcycle museum that opened in 2003 by the enterprising George Barber in Leeds AL, about 10 miles east of Birmingham.

Udell started the race from the pole, handed off to Milner who held off a furious charge by Kenton Koch in the # 99 Random Vandals BMW M4 GT3.

Luck decided the outcome on Sunday when BMW veteran Bill Auberlin in the # 28 ST Racing BMW M4 GT3 Pro Class needed a splash of fuel, surrendering his lead to Udell as time ran out.

Since DXDT took late delivery of the # 63 Corvette at CoTA missing out on the first two events, Milner and Udell have swept eight consecutive races setting up a winner take all in the finale, an 8-hour endurance race on Oct 5-6 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Indy is a whole new ballgame involving a third driver, tire swaps and re-fueling.

Young Bryson Morris started third on Saturday in the DXDT Pro-Am Corvette (re-numbered # 64) and took second before handing off to Bryan Sellers who chased down and passed Trent Hindman in the RSI team # 85 Porsche 993 GT3.R to also win the Pro-Am class as time ran out.

On Sunday the duo finished fourth in SRO Pro-Am behind Jeff Burton in the # 91 Regulator Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 and a pair of M4 GT3.R BMW entries # 29 from Turner Motorsport and # 38 from ST Racing.

The organizers focus on families and kids made this fan friendly event a big hit.
