Kaylee Bryson # 02 SGT Corvette wins in Canada
Kaylee Bryson outdistanced her SGT class pursuers in the ninth round of the 2024 Trans Am series on the jaw-dropping 2.46-mile Mosport circuit a/k/a Canadian Tire Motorsport Park owned in part by Corvette Racing Legend Ron Fellows.
On the road to victory, Kaylee held her own in her C6 Z06 Corvette against newer more powerful purpose-built TA2 cars in the race that combined all classes.
Milton Grant, her main competition fought a transmission problem in his # 55 Porsche 991.3 GT3 Cup.
TA winner Paul Menard completed 41 laps in his # 3 Mustang to beat Chris Dyson # 16 Mustang, offsetting their points margin over # 23 Amy Ruman Corvette that sat out the Canada race, as did many others. The hassle of clearing customs can be a deterrent.
Ruman has a shot for third in the championship pending results at VIR and the final race at CoTA.
