# 23 Amy Ruman is on her way to 3rd place in the 2019 championship standings by finishing 5th at CoTA
Ruman has a lock on 3rd baring a disaster at the Daytona finale on Nov 16.
Usually about 3 seconds off the pace, her race-craft and consistency bested all but # 98 Ernie Francis Jr and # 20 Chris Dyson Mustangs respectively first and second in the standings.
# 72 Michelle Nagai was 6th, another 2 seconds slower but earned points for the TA west coast standings.
The fact that # 59 Simon Gregg won the TA west was small consolation for dropping out on lap 5.
# 26 Aaron Pierce qualified right behind Cindy Lux Viper and had a shot to win the SGT class but dropped out on lap 14 in the 30-lap race.
Corvette legend, Kerry Hitt, 73 wins the “old man” award. The aerodynamic Caddy created by his company ACP (Advanced Composite Products) in 2017 was a new path away from Corvette bodies sold exclusively by Derhaag.
Adam Andretti was the jubilant winner at CoTA, stepping into the Dodge Charger that Boris Said took to victory at VIR. We are focused on Andretti who is slated to race a Corvette at the Daytona finale.
