Kaylee Bryson clinches Trans Am SGT title with win at VIR

Kaylee Bryson finished first in the # 02 C6 Z06 Corvette sponsored by LSI Logical and Sam Pierce Chevrolet, covering 31 laps on the 3.27 - mile Road Circuit in Alton, VA just north of the North Carolina border.

She won for the 3rd time this year by passing Eric Foss on a late-race re-start to claim the 2024 SGT National Championship title.

She joins Amy Ruman (# 23 TA see below), now in her 20th year as the 2nd woman to win a Trans Am title.

Eric Foss in his # 54 South Dallas Turf Chevrolet Corvette, started first in his Trans Am debut and led the SGT class for almost the entire race, showing his prowess as a professional driving coach.

Ricky Sanders in his # 18 C6 Z06 Corvette sponsored by Bridgehaul finished 6th in SGT in one of its few appearances vs the # 18 AMG he seems to prefer.

Amy Ruman in her # 23 TA Corvette finished 3rd by catching some leaders who spun near the end and in doing so, outlasting the broken # 16 Mustang of Chris Dyson who was gunning to repeat as TA champ.

Ray Kobs in his seldom seen # 00 C6 TA Corvette finished a distant 6th.

Paul Menard # 3 Mustang won at VIR and captured the TA championship to the chagrin of Dyson heading into the final races at CoTA on Nov 1-3.
