Trans Am Corvettes in the top 5 at rainy Road Atlanta
Finishing 3rd in the TA class was Justin Marks behind winner Boris Said (Dodge Challenger) and Ernie Francis Jr (Mustang).
Marks, once a familiar name in NASCAR, starts the season with 2 top five finishes in the # 99 Corvette prepared by Tony Ave Racing.
Finishing 2nd in SGT was class pole sitter Michael Phillips. Mike fell back in the melee and then almost beat Mark Brummond (BMW) as the track dried near the end of the 40-lap race.
Phillips is also a newcomer with 2 top 3 finishes in the # 97 customer C6 Corvette former # 96 F.A.S.T. Corvette of Adrian Wlostowski (shown here at Brainerd).

Corvette stalwart Amy Ruman # 23 TA qualified 5th but was fogged out by a cockpit air circulation problem sure to be corrected in the future.
And stalwart Lou Gigliotti # 28 SGT also fell a bit short.
Although the ranks of Corvette racers may be shrinking, do not count them out.
