Jody O’Donnell 1st in Group 6 and more stories from the WIC at Road America

Once again Jody O’Donnell took first against 42 pursuers in group 6 in his big block Corvette prepared by Curt Geaches.
Cohort Mike Donohue (3rd overall) was first among the small blocks also prepared by Curt Geaches.
Gunnar Pfrang finished 3rd against 35 big dogs in group 10 in ex Rick Dittman C5 TA/GT1 Corvette.
Brian Morrison returned from several year absence for credible 12th in group 6. Car refreshed by Black Dog Speed Shop and looked after by Stewart Black and crew.
Not a good outing for Rick Mooney. 38th also prepped by Stewart Black and crew.
Sentimental time for Jim Swan re-united with his old race car now in the able hands of Dave Roberts.
And remembrance of past owners of ex Bud Clusseruth 1964 Cheetah (Corvette special) original untouched since 1965 now in hands of Colin Comer, collector-racer-historian from Milwaukee.
As for Cheetahs, Brian Garcia was 2nd overall in Ralph Salyer Cro-Sal Special replica roadster.
It was also a homecoming for all three Echidnas, lightweight Devin bodies on 1958 Corvette frame powered by 283 fuelie in hands of Bob Hardison, Mike Silverman (Vintage Motorsports farewell) and Steve Steers.
