Callaway C7 GT3-R cruises to victory and RWT contends in Austria
# 77 Markus Pommer and Marvin Kirchhöfer won for the 3rd time over the first 6 races of the 2019 ADAC GT Masters season.
The race was near-perfect for pole-winner Kirchhöfer who managed to pull away even after a safety car interrupted the pace.
Pommer took over and finished well ahead of Maximilian Götz and Indy Dontje in a Mercedes-AMG.
Horses for courses: The Corvette has now won 9 times at the Red Bull Ring (25% of its 35 victories in the ADAC GT Masters).
# 13 David Jahn RWT Corvette was running 2nd at the mandatory pit stop.
During the driver change, Patric Niederhauser # 31 Audi got past Sven Barth and holds the championship lead going into the 2-month summer break. A drive-through penalty for straying off course dropped Barth to 8th at the close.

Performance by Gerd Biesel’s RWT team was even more remarkable on Saturday as Sven Barth qualified 3rd and David Jahn nearly won.
Only to lose out by a fraction to the # 14 BMW MRS GT-Racing Nicolai Sylvest and Jens Klingmann.
Barth won the Pirelli Trophy competition for the third time this season.
Callaway # 77 qualified 5th and finished 5th in a prelude to winning on Sunday.
