Amy Ruman is top Corvette at Keystone Speedfest in Wampum PA
# 23 Amy Ruman 4th place gained her points over # 59 Simon Gregg DNF in the diminishing ranks of Corvette drivers committed (budgeted) to run the entire Trans Am schedule.
# 59 Simon Gregg was sidelined after only 2 laps, a rarity for a car fielded by Derhaag.
# 7 Newcomer Ryan McManus in a C5 GT1 was 7th followed by # 30 Regular Richard Grant in 8th.
The switch from Corvettes began in 2016 with # 19 & # 57 Kerry Hitt and David Pintaric to Cadillac bodies made by ACP. # 4 Paul Fix is being supplied by Tony Ave with a Mustang. # 7 Claudio Burtin retired from driving but fields an ACP Camaro-bodied car for Lawrence Loshack (race winner). # 03 Jim MacAleese switched out his C6 to a Camaro.
Races scheduled at Speedfest for the TA and TA3/TA4 classes made up for those excluded from the round at Detroit Belle Isle for TA2.
# 02 Larry Bailey, 4th in TA3/TA4 was well behind winner # 45 Cindi Lux in a Dodge Viper.
The series for all cars picks up at Mid-Ohio next weekend Aug 11/12.
