Mixed results at Road America washout
Rain is the great equalizer. Only four (4) TA cars finished in the top 10 because of the wet conditions. The other six (6) were smaller displacement TA3 and TA4.
# 4, 50 Paul Fix drove the leading Corvette to 3rd place.
The winner was the # 36 Mustang Cliff Ebben, a local from Appleton WI who has raced for years and knows his way around Road America, rain or shine. He started on pole and led every lap. For the first time in recent memory a Corvette has not won a Trans Am race.
# 57 David Pintaric finished 4th in his Caddy re-bodied Corvette.
# 41 Vincent Allegratta was 8th sporting new C7 body
Notables # 59 Simon Gregg were 13th 1 lap down
And # 23 Amy Ruman was 15th 1 lap down
