Callaway “A Team” goes for another Championship starting at Oschersleben
Andreas Wirth and Daniel Keilwitz begin their third season with Callaway having won the ADAC-GT Masters Championship in 2013 and just missing last year.
The # 66 C6 ZO6R GT3 was headed for victory when a CV joint failed. Per Ernst Woehr team principal, the car lost a half-shaft with just 3 laps to go in Sunday’s 39 lap encounter. The boys turned the fastest lap of the race so the outlook is promising.
The # 69 is piloted by returning drivers Patrick Assenheimer and Diego Alessi.
The # 13 piloted by RWT Team’s Sven Barth and Remo Lips is the C6 ZO6R GT3 Corvette built by Callaway that they raced last year.

The ADAC-GT Masters series begins its 9th season for GT3 supercars. The Corvette competes with 7 other marques in a 20 car field that includes Audi R8 (5 entries), Bentley Continental (2), BMW Z4 GT3, (3), Camaro GT (1), Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 (2), Nissan GT-R (2) and Porsche 911 GT3R (1)
Winning these highly contested one hour races depends a lot on strategy and good luck. They are held on Saturday and Sunday. Each car is shared by 2 drivers. Teams must swap drivers near the half-way point.
Next race is June 6-7 at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
