Amy Ruman and Paul Fix finish 1st & 2nd at NOLA heading for showdown at CoTA and Daytona finale

Amy Ruman # 23 won for the sixth time this season passing Paul Fix # 4 who made a rare mistake on lap 27 that  dropped him 4 places back.  Fix started from pole and posted the fastest lap time.  He recovered for second place, 3 seconds back and might well have won had the one hour time limit not ended the race on the lap 37.

The CEO and President of the McNichols Company, Ruman Racing’s long time sponsor was on hand and gratified by her performance.

Tony Ave substituted for Doug Peterson and posted the second fastest lap time.  He too was sidelined finishing 50 seconds off the pace in 15th in an ACP Cadillac CTS-V ACP bodied Corvette chassis built by Tony Ave Racing.

NOLA is a new 2.67 mile circuit a few miles north of downtown New Orleans that hosted an Indy Car race in April slated for Brazil but was cancelled.

Next race on Nov 8 at big state-of-the-art CoTA .  Big advantage to drivers who can quickly learn the secrets of speed there.
