Following last year’s Corvette extravaganza, just 16 Corvettes appeared in 4 race groups. So we include results for 6 Corvette powered “Specials” from the 1957-1959 era.

Hats off to Jeff Abramson for winning the Group 4A race for 1963-1966 GT cars > 2500 cc against a 45 car field that included Shelby Mustangs, Cobras, Ford 289 Sunbeam Tigers and Jags. How did he do it?  Reportedly good car set-up, big carburetor vs fuel injection, qualified well and drove a great race.

Hats off to Tommy Thompson for teaming up with Lance Smith, a leading Greenwood specialist, to enter a replica of the first wide-body IMSA GTO Corvette that Greenwood introduced in 1974 at Road Atlanta, original and 2014 Laguna Seca replica (40 years onward) .

And hats off to Jim Cantrell, Mike Haemmig and John Goodman for bringing three original Trans Am/IMSA C4 GT1 Silhouette tube frame Corvettes to race together for the first time at a vintage event.  Jim’s video takes us on a tour set to music!
