Al Forsyth Chevrolet, Homestead, PA Car was raced by Al thru 69 then sold to Dan Farri from Murrysville, PA., 2nd owner who raced it 1969-75. CJ bought it in 1975. Been in storage all these years, and today March 2012, the car is going thru an extensive Body off frame restoration by many of the original people from back in the day including STEVE SHINER, RACE DIVISION Crew chief for FORSYTH and head engine / driveline Mechanic. DAVID CROWER, founder of Crower cams is even grinding one of his specials as he did for Alvin in 1963.
Even the rear plexiglass windows with holes for air escape are being done by the original workman.
Laura Forsyth, 80 year old wife of Al is still alive and has supplied many photos and history. Corvette racer Homer Daisy was her first husband. He died suddenly in 1960, and then she married Al. Dave Collier made special cam. He is working with engine rebuilder and doing it exactly as they originally did.
