Chassis designed “from the inside out” result of experience with a 1985 Dillon Pontiac and analytical engineering input from fellow racer Doug Bethke. Other features such as stiffer floor design minimizing flex, longer suspension A arms by moving chassis pickup points inward and extending max outward using special machined uprights, custom made spindles, axle housings, bearing carriers, Porsche CV joints. Special attention to vehicle dynamics (roll center, center of gravity, bump steer, etc. from studying Skip Barber formula chassis.adjustments to achieve optimal ride height and rake. Notes/Race History: The subject C4 made its racing debut at Watkins Glen in IMSA GTO in the fall of 1986, running just one race that season. In 1987 the car ran twice in Trans-Am at Long Beach and Sears Point. Peter Dus is quoted as saying that, "...Sears Point was the third and final reason for me to quit racing I blew 2 engines one was worth over $ 16k had no track time due to engine problems and tipped someone on his roof as I was passing him. Long Beach was #2 reason I would have finished 2nd or 3rd but a sump pump flooded the track during the race." After these two races the car was sold (1992); its whereabouts is currently unknown.
