It was run extensively by Mr. Leonard in the Northeast from 1974 until approx. 1982. It may be one of the L88 cars. It has the radio delete option and no antenna pole. The car is a time capsule of how a B Production car should be if it is a proper car. Modifications: Factory L88 fender flares Notes/Race History: The car started running in 1974 in Northeast Regional races at Thompson and raced until Lime Rock National 1982. The car was raced continuously during that time. It made the National Runoffs 3 or 4 times running against such notables as John Paul, Sr., Ray Anton, Robert Leitzinger and Kenny Slagle. This was the Mecca Development car. It was used to develop many of the oil pans and filters used by General Motors in later years. This car was used to help develop many of these products. Car has log books going back to 1974. The car was withdrawn from active racing in1982, just prior to the runoffs. It was no longer competitive against the GT1 cars. Mr. Leonard kept it in his garage until it was sold in 1995. David Lavertue bought the car in 1995. The car has been raced in vintage classes (SVRA) for many years.
