Notes/Race History: Originally built by Brad Francis in Thornhill (ONCar was nearly destroyed in 1982 at Mosport and rebuilt by Jerry Simmons as a Trans-Am race car. It was campaigned in Trans-Am until 1990 and was re-bodied three times with various C4 Configurations. The car was sold to Butch Kummer (who lived in Florida) and campaigned in SARRC. In this class, Kummert won the GT1 class in 2006 with Jeff Bailey at the wheel. It also held a lap record at Watkins Glen on the short course with inner loop. The car is now owned by Jonathan Brett. The car has been vintage raced in the (Cdn) VARAC series for 2007 and 2008. In 2008, the car was hit while parked at the side of the track, due to a mechanical failure. The car is undergoing a complete update to C5 configuration, with body by Georgian Bay Motorsport (Jim and Jamie Holtom). The update will also include a 5 speed Saenz, Quartermaster 5.5 inch clutch, new complete Ford 9 inch rear end, driveshaft, wheels, radiator, oil cooler, windshield, paint, lettering, heim joints etc. Although the car is being updated to the point that it will only be eligible for SVRA and HSR series, the owner still has both of the C4 bodies for the car, the early coke bottle Kerry Hitt design and the one shown on the website. However the true form for this car would be as an IMSA-AAGT Camaro.
