It was raced in local autocrosses for several years. In 1976, Tim began to convert the car to full road-race condition. The car was raced at Wateford Hills (MI) for several years, updated with a 1973 nose. In 1979 the car was converted to a 197 coupe-style. Along the way the suspension was changed. Tim designed and installed a 5-link rear suspension and totally re-designed the front suspension to enhance the car's anti-dive/anti-squat, scrub radius and offset to improve high speed braking. Both front and rear modifications were very successful. Around 1981, Tim began racing in the SCCA "National" events and, at one time, held the BP/GT1 lap records at WHRRI, Mid-Ohio, IRP and Road America (Elkhart Lake). Time was the sole driver, until 1981 when the car was sold to Don Sak. Don raced it for several years in the SCCA "National" races and some Trans-Am races.
