The Corvette race car Series Chronology is the only known work that attempts to document all Corvette race car types, distinguished by the period in which they actually raced and by the specific racing series under a given sanctioning body.

Official competition history is the single characteristic that distinguishes an authentic Corvette race car.For purposes of the Registry, an authentic Corvette race car would have appeared in one (or more) racing series recognized by a major sanctioning body, ie FIA, IMSA, SCCA or Grand-Am.
